Officials closed dozens of schools and issued a boil water advisory for southern parts of the county. They said several hundred thousand customers are affected.

WSSC Water has expanded a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) for all customers in southern Prince George’s County. The area, which was originally identified as everything south of MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue), now includes communities just north and east of MD 4 – along with all areas south of MD 4.
