Jul 2, 2010 · Once loaded the sprung axles are just fine. The nicer trailers will have sixteen inch on centers which is a must fir tandems. I have worked on and sold an now own my own trailer repair business. My the sounds of it the 10k Wells cargo is your best deal. BTW replacement cost of a torsion axle is about double of a standard axle as well.

Nov 15, 2009 · yeah id like to have a convertible but i need a pickup. i have a 61 c-60 viking flatbed that i was thinking about making into a car hauler but dont want to take on a huge undertaking to make it into one. i am trying to kill two birds with one stone having a tow rig and a daily driver. trying to upgrade and downsize.

Jul 22, 2013 · Just did this on the OT '70 c-10. 87,88-92 are the best to use, truck is the simplest mounting, though long. Speedo is an easy changeover, 87 may still have cable, my 89 had a rare gear to electric convertor. Call Bowtie Overdrives for the TV kit. Works good, run a cooler after the rad, esp. if towing! I've seen OLD pix of bigger cars like Buicks and Hudsons pulling some SIZEABLE trailers. Being that the first Suburban was '36, seems reasonable to me that towing capacity RATINGS and "tow packages" would go way back. 2 cents.

Long story short is that this had happened so often that the theater operator had a route all laid out to get trucks out of his drive-in. Off course this involved removing several steel posts and cables and breaking down the trailers but other than that doable.
