Apr 20, 2022 · Ghost of Tsushima's combat system to me is in the same family as the "freeflow" combat system popularized by the Arkham games and also in things like the Mordor games and Spiderman 2018. Sekiro is in the same family as the souls series combat system obviously but with also influences from character action like Metal Gear Rising and Devil May Cry.

May 20, 2024 · The bamboo strikes are the only part of the game where I feel like I'm doing something different and experiencing a unique challenge. Again, this wouldn't be out of place in a more confined or linear game but in one so big and open, it's strange that the gameplay is not similarly big and open.

The best part of Tsushima is the story and the characters, so unless you absolutely despise the gameplay (which you probably won't) it should be fine regardless

Dec 22, 2022 · Ghost of Tsushima is great and it's better.just play it on hard difficulty in your first playthrough it makes the game feel challenging and not frustrating at all I've also played HZD long ago but can't remember anything about the story or the characters,the gameplay was fun though.

Feb 27, 2023 · I think Ghost of Tsushima is excellent when it is doing things to separate it from other titles (duels, companion quests, mythic tales) but suffers greatly when it acts like a big standard open world adventure.
