The Village of McBride is located in the Robson Valley region of British Columbia, Canada - surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and Cariboo Ranges. Located 210 km (130 mi) southeast of Prince George, BC, and 166 km (103 mi) west of Jasper, AB.

Located in the Robson Valley, the Village of McBride is a small and vibrant rural community situated along the Yellowhead Highway 16 in eastern-central BC. McBride was founded in 1913 as Mile 90 on the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, incorporated in 1932 and named after the serving Premier, Sir Richard McBride.

The Council of the Village of McBride consists of one Mayor and four Councillors elected for four-year terms. Municipal councils are empowered to address the existing and future needs of their community by making collective decisions that are recorded in bylaws or resolutions.

The Village of McBride contains a number of amenities and services available to residents including hospital and health centre, public library, schools and childcare services, volunteer associations, and places of worship.

The Village of McBride is responsible for providing a range of services to the community including water treatment, sewage treatment, solid waste collection, and road maintenance.
