Jul 10, 2007 · Messages. 495. Just use the pre-applied unless you are very picky about paste and temps. Would be surprised if you would see more than a 3-4 degree difference compared to the best thermal pastes (outside of liquid metal), probably more like 1-3 degrees.

Jun 22, 2022 · The main feature of the Torrent is its 180mm fans, so I recommend you don't remove them if you don't have to. Those two fans move a massive 307 CFM of air for optimal cooling. Going to three 120s on your radiator will actually worsen the airflow (three 140s break even) which is the primary point of this case.

Jul 12, 2020 · I don't have an NZXT aio but the Fractal and Corsair ones that I have once you turn the fans down to 6-800 rpm the pump noise is by far the loudest thing. The pump can be controlled just like a fan with the MB header, turn it down at idle. drutman said: Sounds normal to me, in CAM I use 25% fixed Fan 1 Liquid profile.

Feb 17, 2022 · They are really good. I had a 2080ti for a long time that was a zotac dual slot cooler and that wasn't really good at cooling the card. I put a G10 w/ a corsair H90 and it kept it really cool. Very quiet too. Oct 12, 2024 · Unless you really have an itch to upgrade, I'd recommend replacing the one defective fan or both fans. OP's AIO probably uses the NZXT AER style of fans which have been out of production for a while now. So unless you find a salvaged legacy Kraken or AER fan off e-bay for cheap, you'll have to look at other options.

May 15, 2021 · The NZXT Kraken line only works with the Asetek-made round-plate coolers that feature the circular retention lug pattern, while those Corsair coolers are made by someone else and use a different mechanism.

Oct 31, 2023 · With a 14900K it will be sufficient to cool it, you just might have a little unrealized performance compared to a 360mm AIO which will let it boost slightly higher. But the Peerless Assassin beats out the NH-D15 at the same noise level. Bonus points if you delid your 14900k.
