The Ancient Greek pantheon was a sort of accumulation of lots of different religions. Most of these religions had a prominent 'male' God who took a wife. The 'male' Gods from all these religions were quite similar in terms of their power and roles and merged into one God, Zeus.

Nov 16, 2020 · The family trees themselves might be a bit off, not least because there's a lot of disagreement between scholars as to exact familial relations, but also because there's so so much in-breeding in the Greek pantheon! The Norse pantheon is a little easier to follow, but there's a lot less information on Wikipedia.

Sep 27, 2021 · I'm mythology lover. I find the family trees of different and mythical Greek dynasties very complex due to the lineages traced back to the Olympian god Zeus. I knew those stories told about Ancient Greece. It's always part of history being my favorite passion. 🙂

May 10, 2024 · I've only addressed the family relationship (parent/child) and not the Relations Relationship (descendance or foster parents/siblings). This is why in this family tree the Titans and Olympians are not connected to Chaos themself. The games' family tree is very different from the conventional family tree of Greek gods.

Using Excel or a similar program, you can reserve the first column for which Generation each figure belongs to. Supposedly you start with Chaos, it belongs to Generation 0. Then the direct offspring of Chaos is Generation 1, their offspring Generation 2, and so on and so ...

I'll probably stick to a basic family tree that lists all of the children of each god and I'll probably make my own for each separate "family" and just keep notes of how all the gods are supposedly related to each other (ie nearly all the main 12 Olympian gods are either the children of Zeus or they're his siblings).
