Oct 27, 2011 · I'm not sure if this is the right forum but i'm gonna buy a new enclosed cargo trailer in the 7'x14' size range. I may go 7'x16'. Which manufacturers would you all recommend. I know i'll get a lot of different responses and thats what i want. Could you also maybe include why you like any you suggest. Thanks for your time.

Jul 2, 2010 · from Billings, MT. I've had Pace, Haulmark, and Wells Cargo, enclosed trailers. Of all of these I prefer the Wells Cargo, for the warrantee, The way it tows. and the Build quality. None of the three brands were bad, W/C is just my preference. ( definately go with torsion axles) Last edited: Jul 3, 2010.

Aug 28, 2006 · My old dump trailer was bought for $900 and sold for $500 but never dumped. Home made in the 70's weighed 5,500 lbs empty two 3 ton axles. For unloading shingle bebris found wrapping the whole load with logs chains and paying the operator $5 at the dump worked good. Used it for 3 years and worked perfect for 30 jobs.

May 10, 2009 · I have a 7x12 Interstate enclosed trailer. I am not real happy with the overall quality of the trailer. The wheel well was never mounted to anything solid and pulled away from the trailer after the first day. There have also been a few other things that have show poor assembly. As far as the size, I think it's perfect.

Nov 29, 2011 · Personally I feel that the 7x16' is most versatile. CarMate, one of our manufacturers, makes a very nice "Contractor" trailer that comes standard in 7x16' with ladder racks and some other features as well and our customers always seem to love that size and feature combination. Also, 8.5x14 will most likely be a custom build for any manufacturer.

It just cuts down on the amount of time they'll spend there once they get in. Get some good locks, a light that comes on with a motion detector, and maybe put a sign on the trailer stating "Cameras in use".
