Aug 6, 2022 · From a WiFi perspective, it does WiFi 6 on the 5Ghz band and on the 2.4 Ghz band it does 802.11 b/g/n. You can serve everything up on one SSID or WiFi name so that you can let the router decide which band to connect to.

Mar 4, 2023 · This is the successor to the Home Hub 4000 (the two routers look identical), but the Giga Hub offers support for Wi-Fi 6E, which in theory should make it work better with multiple devices, as long as they also support the new Wi-fi standard.

Jul 12, 2022 · I don’t have a HH4000, but knowing how even on the 3000 the settings are limited, I wouldn’t expect the 4000 to really have additional settings for Wi-Fi 6 specifically. A lot of the changes for Wi-Fi 6 are under the hood anyways.

May 23, 2021 · From what I can find regarding the 802.11ax standard, WiFi 6 is dual-band but 6E (or HE) is the high efficiency tri-band standard (6 GHz being the third band). However, only other 6E devices can take advantage of this new band and regular WiFi 6 devices are relegated to the 2.4 & 5 GHz bands to prevent congestion on the new band.

Apr 2, 2024 · I’ve just upgraded to the 900 FTTP Fibre package with the Plusnet Home Hub 2. As the HH2 doesn’t offer WiFi 6 or 6e I’d like to change and use a third party router that does offer this (most likely 6e as have two devices that are compatible).
