Need advice on new Motherboard Micro-ATX/Mini-ITX?

That checks all the boxes at $200 The ASUS Prime Z790M-Plus LGA 1700 microATX motherboard, I would really like to find a suitable Mini ITX board for about $200.

It would be easiser to power many such motherboards, the Q77 has a built-in VNC server, embedded into the BIOS ( and lets you control BIOS + other stuff remotely ) and offers decent computing power when paired with a 45W quad core CPU.

Jan 17, 2006 · On the same website you can find the ATX + Micro ATX specs. Mini ITX uses the same mounting holes as micro ATX, just only uses the 4 nearest the CPU socket area. Use the micro ATX spec for I\O panel and PCI bracket mesaurments.

Aug 19, 2009 · I also remember the Z97E-ITX/ac (this board's predecessor) only supported very short M.2 cards which meant basically none of the interesting ones were compatible. This ASRock board is just the first of many. The Z97E-ITX/ac was also the first to make it to market but soon it was followed-up by Asus' offerings, along with MSI, Gigabyte and EVGA.

Feb 12, 2018 · Well the CustomMod Mini is 3.24L, but GPUs, motherboards, and I/O shields regularly haven't fit. I'm not sure what part of that is size restriction and what part is poor manufacturing tolerances. But I don't think you can push the motherboard and GPU any closer without sacrificing rear M.2 support and risk overheating, which wouldn't be worth it.

Jan 26, 2010 · That weirdo dell board is midway between ITX and mATX in size, it has 2 PCIe slots and even ignoring the IO extension the main section is bigger than ITX which would end roughly where the memory slots are. Also Dell's been doing non-standard mobos for decades, there's nothing new here.
