Jun 29, 2020 · Thus, I was hoping to find a way to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to be the 4th controller. I spent a large part of my high school and college career playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl with a Remote and Nunchuk on the Wii, and I actually really enjoyed playing with them as opposed to GameCube controller, contrary to popular opinion.

They had issues marketing and differentiating the Wii U from the Wii to average consumers when it released, they aren’t going to turn the Switch into Wii 3.0. Pikmin was, imo, best played with a normal controller going back to the original on GameCube.

Was motion control more accurate in wii than switch gyro?
The Switch Joy Con's use gyroscopes and accelerometers, Wiimote (without Wii motion plus) only had the latter I believe. This allows for more accurate 1:1 movement (as in, you move your hand upside down and the game would do it, like in Skyward Sword).

Jan 8, 2021 · By default Wireless Adapter makes the Wii controller assume a Pro Controller default layout, and the buttons go this way: Wiimote "A" remains the same on the Switch. Same with the D-Pad, Home, and the Plus/Minus buttons. Wiimote "B" is Switch's "X". Wiimote "1" is Switch's "Y". Wiimote "2" is Switch's "B". C button (Nunchuk) is Switch's "R".

Jan 13, 2022 · If you use more real wii remote then leave the global setting real (When game is stopped), and you'll only have to set the other on the game you are not using the real Wii Remote, or vice versa. WiimoteSource0 = 2 WiimoteSource0 means Wii Remote 1 WiimoteSource1 means Wii Remote 2 etc. On the right side of assignment is type so 0 = None

I think your friends and I are in the minority. Such an adapter would be a very niche product. Also, unlike the GameCube controller, which is just missing a ZL button, the Wii Remote's button layout is entirely different from any of the Switch's native controllers -- even with the Nunchuck, so support would be very limited.

Jan 3, 2021 · The Wii mote doesn't even have enough input options/buttons to work in most games unless it was already a wii game. Also it just wouldn't work. The switch doesn't support the IR pointer tech that the Wii mote needs. Just get some grips for your joy-con if you want more comfort and you can use them separately and even more freely than the Wii mote.
