6th annual community Christmas dinner successful fun
Dec 31, 2024 · The sixth annual community Christmas Dinner was a fantastic time for both volunteers and diners. This year volunteers cooked up 19 turkeys, hundreds of pounds of potatoes (with gravy), carrots, turnips, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, dressing, buns and finished the dinner off with pumpkin pie and whipped cream.

5 days ago · Women and children staying in two Kamloops area shelters on Christmas morning received gifts from Barriere area residents. Barb Gordon of the Anti Violence Society in Barriere said they decided to make Christmas a little brighter for women and children staying at the Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society and Y Women's shelters, but they did not do it alone.

Dec 28, 2023 · Two separate crashes on Highway 5 south of Barriere claimed four lives Thursday morning, Dec. 28. Mounties confirm three lives were lost in a two-vehicle collision at about 6:50 a.m. near Oliver Creek Forest Service Road about 11 km from Barriere.
