I’ve never been a competent classical pianist. A combo of middling work ethic & limited natural technique meant that I was always skidding through tricky passages by the skin of my teeth. But it’s fun to play through pieces with a singer-songwriter’s ear: such colors in the chord voicings! Those delicious little hooks! The arc of feeling!
