Drawing directly on the gel plate with acrylic paint markers is one of my favorite ways to add bold, graphic marks to a print: simple setup, strong results. Here’s the flow: draw on the plate with an opaque, fast-drying marker (I’m using a Montana 50mm), let it fully dry, roll a thin layer of paint over the surface, add your paper (deli paper works great), let it sit briefly, then pull the print.
