British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has unveiled his latest single, “Azizam” (meaning “my dear” or “darling” in Persian), coinciding with the celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year. The track, infused with Persian musical influences, marks a unique cultural nod and serves as the lead single for his upcoming eighth studio album. Seated next to Ed Sheeren in the video clip is Ilya Salmanzadeh, often credited simply as ILYA - a Swedish-Iranian music producer who co-produced the track “Azizam”
