Here's How to Deadhead Roses for Newly Planted or Mature Plants

There are many benefits to keeping this flower patch trimmed. First, it is filled with Zinnias and Cosmos. Those are ‘Cut & Come Again’ flowers. The more you cut them, the more they bloom! It is currently July and I want to keep this patch in bloom for a few more months. If I did not deadhead the flower after blooming, the plant will start to make seed. I don’t want that yet (that’s an early fall task I do!) Also, regularly snipping stems help keep the plants shorter. This will keep them from to
