Photo Transfer to Metal Using Water-Based Polyurethane (No Special Tools) Ever wanted to put a photo directly onto metal? Here’s a simple method using water-based polyurethane and a piece of aluminum. I roughed up the aluminum with 120-grit sandpaper, coated it with polyurethane, then placed the photo printed side down. After smoothing out the air bubbles and sealing the back with more polyurethane, I let it dry and removed the paper with a wet sponge. ⚠️ Important note: This technique only work
