Tom Hiddleston auditioned for the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the time, he bulked up and even performed with the iconic hammer during his audition. However, Marvel felt he was better suited for the role of Loki, Thor's mischievous brother, which turned out to be a perfect fit.
