As record floods swallowed large parts of Sydney earlier this year, the NSW Police Aviation Command was tasked with helping to search for and rescue those stranded. In the space of only two hours on March 23, 2021, the crew of PolAir 5 rescued 15 people trapped by the floods, in one the busiest days for the Command this year.
